Save Unsent Tweets On Web and Phone
There are two ways to save a tweet on your phone or web. The first one is to save tweet as draft and retrieve it later and the second one is to schedule the tweet to later time. Read on to know both ways in detail.
Save Tweet as Draft on Phone
You can save a tweet as draft and access it later and then you can send it. Here’s how to save a tweet in drafts and access it:
- Open Twitter on your phone and tap on “+” icon to write your tweet.
- Now instead of tapping on Tweet to send, tap on “Cancel” at the top left.
- You will see two options in a pop-up- “Delete” and “Save draft”.
- Select “Save draft” and it will be saved in your twitter drafts. In order to access drafts:
- Again tap on “+” button to create a tweet.
- You will see a “Drafts” option just before the Tweet option. Tap on it and go to your drafts. Select the last draft and it will appear on your compose tweet box. You can then send it right away.
Save Tweets on Web
Just like saving drafts on mobile, you can also save tweets on web version too. Follow these steps to save tweets on PC:
Open Twitter.com on your PC.
Now click on “Tweet” button from the left side menu.
A compose tweet box will appear, type your Tweet.
Now click on the cross icon at the top left side of the box.
From the pop-up menu select “Save” and that’s it.
It will saved in drafts and you can access it just like above method.
Bonus Tip: Schedule Tweets
Just like on other social media apps you can schedule posts such as Instagram reels, you can also schedule your Tweets. However, unlike previous method, you can only schedule a tweet on Twitter web and not on mobile.
Open Twitter on a browser on your PC.
Login with your details and click on schedule icon (calendar and clock) at the bottom of compose tweet box.
Now a new box will appear, here you can select date and time of scheduling the tweet.
After entering the date and time, click on “Confirm” and start composing your tweet.
At the end, click on “Schedule” at the bottom.
So this is another way of saving tweets on web. Apart from this native one, there are some other third-party ways to schedule a tweet as well.
Edit or Delete Scheduled Tweet
In case of scheduling tweets, you will have to remember the date on which it will be sent, so that, if you don’t want it, you can either edit it or delete from the scheduled tweets. Here’s how to access scheduled tweets:
Open Twitter.com on your computer and click on schedule icon again.
When the schedule box appears, click on “Scheduled tweets” at the bottom.
You will now see the scheduled tweets as well as drafts. Click on “Edit” at the top right.
Here, either you can edit or delete it. Just select the tweet that you want to delete.
Now click on “Delete” at the bottom and again on confirmation.
This is how you can delete or edit a scheduled tweet. These were the two ways of saving tweets that are unsent and you can then access them later. For more tech tips, follow us on Twitter @gadgetstouse!
