Apple’s new iPhone lineup revealed
If the reports are to be believed, we can say that these new iPhones will be the Cupertino giant’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ unveiled at MWC 2018. Apple is told to be running production tests with suppliers already and we might get to see the new devices this fall. However, the plans may change, as told by an insider to Bloomberg. The larger iPhone with a screen size of close to 6.5-inches and come in the chassis size of the iPhone 8 Plus. It is codenamed D33 and expected to pack an OLED panel similar to the iPhone X. Gene Munster, a co-founder of Loup Ventures, has stated “When you have a measurable upgrade in screen size, people go to update their phone in droves. We saw that with the iPhone 6, and we think this is setting up to be a similar step up in growth.” Then there is another iPhone that will succeed the current iPhone X and has the codename D32. It will come with the same design but powered by the next-gen A12 processor. This will be for the regular users of the device. This device may also come in a gold colour option along with a colour upgrade to the current iPhone X. Lastly, there is tipped to be a less expensive iPhone, which should replace the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. This affordable device is also expected to come with certain features from the flagships i.e. 18:9 aspect ratio, notch design, and similar dual cameras.
