In addition to the new iPad, Apple also launched a new version of Keynote, Numbers and Pages apps which now include support for the Apple Pencil.
Apple iPad 2018 specifications
The iPad (2018) comes with a 9.7 inches retina (2048×1536) IPS display with 264 PPI pixel density. It is running the Apple A9 Soc, the RAM and battery specs haven’t been revealed by Apple but it comes with Apple Pencil support. The iPad (2018) comes with an 8MP camera with f/2.4 aperture at the back and a 1.2 megapixel FaceTime camera with a f/2.2 aperture on the front. For connectivity, the iPad (2018) comes with 4G LTE (on cellular model), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and A-GPS. The sensors on board are Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the home button as always, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass and 3-axis gyroscope.
New features in iWork apps
In the new version of the iWork apps, users can now draw directly on the Keynote, Pages and Numbers, all thanks to the Apple Pencil support. At the event, Apple also said that the ability to create a digital book is coming to the Pages app.
Apple iPad 2018 price and availability
The iPad (2018) is staring at $299 (Rs. 19,400) for schools and $329 (Rs. 21,300) for other customers, this is the same price as the previous iPad. The 32GB iPad (2018) version is priced at Rs 28,000 while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model is priced at Rs 38,600.
