The devices which would be unveiled at the event include a series of interactive flat panel displays from the RP and RM series of panels. These would come in 55’’ and 65’’ screen sizes, which means the product is aimed at commercial organizations, for example classrooms. These flat panels will come with 5 point touch screens, 4 pen interactive displays and 2 way wireless transfer which would allow for greater interaction. The company would also be showcasing their innovative ‘Classroom IQ Solutions’, which is a pointwrite module which can convert any given surface into an interactive surface, and any given projector into an interactive projector. Not only this, BenQ would also be releasing software/apps which would help interaction between a teacher and students. This would allow them to view each other’s screens, share annotations, and share the overall control of the classroom content, thus dividing control between all and allowing for much greater interaction.
Moving forward, the company would also be revealing the ‘QPresenter’ software and app, along with their new range of short-throw projectors, the MX819ST and MW820ST. These projectors will come with resolutions of XGA (1024×768) and WXGA (1440×900) respectively. These projectors are said to have a contrast ratio up to 13000:1, and an impressive brightness of 3,000 lumens.
These new projectors would come with eco-friendly measures, which means that the projectors wouldn’t be using too much power. Among the various technologies deployed by BenQ, some include SmartEco ImageCare, SmartEco LampCare and SmartEco LumenCare. BenQ is already said to have a strong market share, and with the launch of these new devices, the company would be hoping to reinforce the same.
