Huawei, the tech giant from China has officially launched Honor 5X in the Chinese market. The metal clad smartphone also known as Honor Glory Play 5X will be available in two variants- 2GB RAM variant priced at CNY 999 ( INR 10,200 approx.) and 3GB RAM variant priced at CNY 1,399 ( INR 14,300 approx.). Initially, the smartphone will be available for purchase in Chinese market only.
Android 5.1 Lollipop based Honor 5X, running custom skin EMUI 3.0 on top, is a 4G LTE enabled dual sim smartphone. Honor 5X boasts of a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 64 bit Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.7GHz + four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.2GHz) coupled with 405 Adreno GPU. The internal storage capacity on Honor 5X is 16 GB which can be expanded up to 128 GB with microSD card. This smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera to capture the perfect selfies. Honor 5X comes with a fingerprint scanner, placed on the back just below the camera unit, and claims to unlock the smartphone in under 0.5 seconds. Honor 5X packs a 3000 mAh battery underneath and supports Quick Charge 3.0 which claims to charge the battery from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes.
