Display and Processor
Both the smartphones are identical with a 5.5 inch Super LCD2 display panel packing HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels that translate to an average pixel density of 267 pixels per inch. These screens are pretty suitable for handling multimedia content such as playing games, watching videos, browsing the net and more. Furthermore, the Super LCD2 panel consumes less power and conserves the battery life of these smartphones. The real difference between the two devices is in terms of raw hardware as the Desire 816 is stuffed with a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM and Adreno 305 graphics unit. On the other hand, the Desire 816G uses a low cost 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor backed up 1 GB of RAM. Obviously, the Desire 816 is a better performer in the duo.
