Earlier this week, we had reported that a new phone from Huawei has gotten certified by TENAA with model number Huawei RNE Al00. Now, as per the company’s Weibo page, it is confirmed as Huawei Maimang 6. Apart from that, tipster Evan Blass has also posted press shots of the phone.
Huawei Maimang 6 Specifications
The latest phone from Huawei features a 5.99 inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 ratio and hence sports minimum bezels. The hybrid dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s EMUI on top. The Huawei Maimang 6 is powered by an Octa-core Kirin 659 processor (4 x A53 at 2.36GHz + 4 x A53 at 1.7GHz) with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. It is packed with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
Coming to the camera, the phone features dual camera setup both at the front and back. There is a 16MP primary rear camera with LED flash with a secondary 2MP camera. Along with dual camera setup, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back. At the front, there is a 13MP camera accompanied by a secondary 2MP camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / Glonass. The phone gets power from a 3,240mAh battery. Dimension wise, the phone measures 156.2 × 75.2 × 7.5 mm and weighs 164 grams. The Huawei Maimang 6 event is scheduled on September 22nd at 2 PM China Time (11:30 AM IST).
