Huawei has released a teaser on its official Indian website about the launch of the new models in the Indian market without specifying any availability schedule. The teaser reads, “Coming Sooon in India“, and the three O letters point to the P20 Pro that sports three rear cameras. And, the P20 is also likely to be announced alongside the P20 Pro model. Huawei P20 and P20 Pro price in India hasn’t been confirmed yet. However, the Huawei P20 has been priced at EUR 649 (approximately Rs. 52,200) in European markets and the P20 Pro price has been set at EUR 899 (Rs. 72,300 approx.). The phones are supposed to be Flipkart exclusive when they are launched.
Huawei P20, P20 Pro specifications
The Huawei P20 sports a 5.8-inch full-HD+ (1080×2244 pixels) FullView display while the P20 Pro features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ (1080×2240 pixels) OLED FullView display. Both the phones are powered by an octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset coupled with a dedicated NPU. The Huawei P20 packs 4GB of RAM, while the P20 Pro comes with 6GB RAM. Both the phones have 128GB internal storage.
For imaging, the Huawei P20 has a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP RGB sensor with a f/1.8 aperture and a 20MP monochrome sensor with a f/1.6 aperture. The Huawei P20 Pro, on the other hand, sports a triple rear camera setup that has an 8MP sensor with 3x optical zoom, 40MP RGB sensor, and a 20MP monochrome sensor. This combination enables 5x lossless hybrid zoom and 10x digital zoom on P20 Pro. Both the smartphones have a 24.8MP front camera.
In terms of connectivity, they have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C options. The Huawei P20 packs a 3400mAh battery, while the Huawei P20 Pro has 4000mAh battery. Both support Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging tech. The Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Pro run EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. They also support Google ARCore and feature 360-degree Facial Recognition as well.
