This is Company’s first-ever quad-core powered Android smartphone in the country but as there are already a bunch of smartphones which are launched by many manufacturers in India with Quad core processor, it will be difficult for Lemon Mobiles to pitch itself for increasing sales numbers. Priced at Rs 17,999, the company claims that Lemon A4 is the cheapest handset which has hit the market boasting 1080p display and this is something on which the company will be marketing the device.
Camera and Internal Storage
Most of the Quad core device launched from Indian mobile makers has 8 MP camera but the Aspire A4 is featured with 13MP rear camera. But still there are few device like Wickedleak Wammy Passion Z which are already present in the market with more than 12 MP of rear camera. This 13 MP camera will have the common features like Auto-Focus, Face-Detection, Smile-Detection and operation in the burst mode. On the front side, the device got a 5MP camera which is again an impressive part of the device. From the Storage front, the device got 16GB of ROM(internal storage) which is again an awesome feature of the device. The other quad core device got 4 GB of ROM and hence this 16GB of internal storage looks much higher when compared to them. The internal storage can be expanded up to 64GB using the MicroSD memory card.
Processor and Battery
It uses the most commonly used Quad Core Processor by Mediatek which is MTK6589, clocked at the frequency of 1.2GHz. The Mediatek MTK6589 chipset integrates a power-efficient Cortex-A7 CPU subsystem from ARM and PowerVR Series5XT GPU from Imagination Technologies. This processor is also accompanied by 1GB RAM and this is the same combination which we have seen in the phones like Wammy Passion Z and iOcean X7. The battery of 1850mAh is something that we are upset about here. The other 5 inches feature display device from Indian brand like Micromax and Zen have minimum of 2000mAh battery and this 1850mAh really looks poor. So it will be suggested to the user of the device to carry the charger every time he goes out for more than 4 or 5 hours specially if you are a heavy user of the mobile and working on internet than the battery could easily drain out in that time.
Display Size and Type
The Lemon Aspire A4 sports 5inches of IPS display. It has got a fantastic full HD display resolution with the 1920×1080 pixels. The display of the device is really good and the clarity will be great enough to please your eyes. The company will be surely betting on the display of the device and hence it is claimed to be the cheapest handset boasting 1080p display.
Comparison
There are many quad core devices launched from Indian mobile makers like Zen Ultraphone 701, Gionee Gpad 2, Karbonn S2 Titanium and one of the most selling device Micromax Canvas HD 116 and Lemon A4 is just like any other homegrown manufacturer phablet launched in the country, that sports a 5-inch, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and Android OS but there are some improvements that makes the device better than those device. The IPS display with 1920x1080p resolution is the unique of the device and operating latest 4.2.1 Jelly bean OS will force the user to give a look on this device. The 16GB internal storage and 13MP rear with 5MP front camera is the other specs that will making the device worth for the value.
Conclusion
There is no official information on the availability of Lemon A4 but it is expected to be available till the next week with the Price tag of Rs 17,999. There is already rumor about Micromax to be prepping a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) quad core handset and Karbonn is also speculated to be gearing up for the release of its first 1080p handset and if the rumors come live then Lemon can face some hard time in the market as this companies can have there brand name favoring them. Right now we can say till the rumor turn into truth the device should see some good time here. The price tag of the device looks bit expensive for the Indian market but the specs looks really impressive and worth for the price.
