Lenovo K5 Plus Hands on Review, Camera, Comparison and Overview [Video]
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch Full HD Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 616 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. The storage on the device is a mere 16GB onboard, which can be expanded via a microSD card up to 32GB in size. On the camera front, the Vibe K5 Plus comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera for those selfies. The camera specifications look decent on paper, but more can be talked about them when we actually review the device. The Vibe K5 Plus runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 based Lenovo’s custom user interface, called the Vibe UI. The performance of the device will be determined by the lightness of the user interface that the company has put on top of the device. In terms of connectivity, the device offers the usual connectivity features including 4G LTE, dual SIM, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Just like the other Lenovo phones, the Vibe K5 Plus also comes with the Dolby Audio Support for much better audio quality from the speakers of the smartphone. It will definitely be a selling point for Lenovo’s new smartphone. Powering the entire device, we have a 2750mAh battery and the good thing is that the battery on the smartphone is user replaceable. This means you can get full battery in a matter of seconds if you are carrying an additional battery.
Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is priced at INR 8,499 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart in three different colors. The phone will be available in Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold and Graphite Gray colors.
Conclusion
It is nice to see Lenovo launching a device in India even before they launch it in China or any other market. It feels like India is privileged to have this opportunity! Also, the phone looks decent on paper with the specifications that it offers. Although there are a few other smartphones in this price range that offer more RAM and specs, but the overall performance of the device is what matters. Although, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus does not offer a fingerprint sensor, it should be interesting to see how the phone performs overall and if it is worth buying or not.
