While the LG V30S ThinQ comes with the same bezel-less display, processor, and cameras as the regular V30, the device is backed with AI. Powered by the Machine learning from EyeEm Vision, which has trained its imaging AI with over 100 million images. The new variant also gets a higher internal storage.
LG V30S ThinQ Specifications
LG has been one of the major players at the MWC in the past. This time, the big announcement from the company has come in form of a software update to its current flagship device. The LG V30S ThinQ comes with integrated AI camera and a higher memory. Additionally, the device is now available in two new colours, i.e. Platinum Grey and Moroccan Blue for the ThinQ variants. The AI capabilities will be available on the regular V30 as well. Talking about the specifications, the device comes with the exact same hardware as the regular V30, except the internal storage. The device comes with a 6 inch QHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and as aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. In terms of camera, it is backed by Vision AI, which gives it some cool features. The 16MP + 13MP rear camera setup now gets Bright Mode that enables better low light imaging by combining pixels and eliminating noise. There is also AI Cam that studies the frame and makes suggestions for the image, along with QLens to scan QR codes. Coming to hardware, the LG V30S ThinQ is backed by a Snapdragon 835 processor. This variant gets a higher 6GB RAM over its predecessor, which has 4GB RAM. The ThinQ variant also comes in two storage options i.e. 128GB and 256GB.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, LG has not revealed the pricing information about the device. It will launch in Korea in March and will be later shipped to the USA and Europe. The Indian availability of the device is also not out yet.
