The display size has been bumped up to 4.5 Inches with marginally improved FWVGA 854 x 480 pixel resolution. The software is latest Android 4.4 Kitkat similar to most other recently launched Micromax devices. Canvas Fire 2 is fired by Quad core clocked at 1.3 GHz, backed by 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The chipset is good enough to compete at this price range and a much needed improvement over canvas fire A093. MicroSD support up to 32 GB is also present. Imaging hardware remains same and is fairly standard with 5 MP AF rear camera, with LED flash and a VGA front shooter for basic video chat. You can record HD videos from rear camera. Canvas Fire 2 also flaunts dual frontal speaker for clear audio experience which is something we like. The Dual SIM phone (Normal +Micro) houses a 1900 mAh battery which sounds decent enough in this price range. Micromax has given due importance to the style factor as well. Canvas Fire 2 will be available in Black & Gold, White & Gold or White & Silver. Micromax has been flooding market with several smartphones with more or less same specifications and price like Micromax Canvas Unite 2, Canvas Unite A092, Canvas Engage and many others.
