Moto M was announced in China earlier this month; it is the first phone to be powered by Helio P15 (successor of Helio P10). Compared to its predecessor, the processor has bumped up clock speeds in CPU as well as in GPU segments. It is also worth noting that Moto M is the first phone from the company with a unibody metal design and fingerprint sensor at the back. For JIO fans, the phone comes with VoLTE support out of the box.
Price and Availability
The phone was priced at 1999 Yuan ( approx Rs. 20,000/-) in China. At this price, it will face the likes of LeECo Le MAX2, Xiaomi MI5, and Lenovo Z2 plus . On paper, it seems to be a herculean task for Moto M to supersede these phones, but if Moto has somehow managed to squeeze best out of P15, it may stand a chance to compete with them by optimizing the software. Moto has sent media invites for the phone launch on Dec 13 in India. No information is available on when will it go on sale or on what online channel it will be available?
