Design and Form Factor
The Galaxy S20 is going to be similar to the last version in the design segment. The smartphone will have even lesser bezels around the display with the signature curved edges from Samsung. The smartphone will also inherit the punch hole camera design from the last year but it will be smaller according to the leaks. When it comes to the form factor, Samsung is going to use the same form factor from the last year too except for the camera module. The camera module at the back is going to look like the one from the recently released Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite or Note 10 Lite. Samsung will make some minor changes in terms of the design and form factor according to the leaks.
Hardware and Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S20 will be following the same tradition this year too; Snapdragon chipset for the US and Exynos for the rest. Since there was no chipset except for the Exynos 9825 on 7nm fabrication process, the S20 will be powered by this SoC with 5G connectivity. And for the US variant, Samsung will use the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset from Qualcomm. When comes to other hardware specifications, an image has been leaked showing the RAM capacity to be 12GB. This may be a prototype but there is a possibility that we can get a variant with 12GB RAM or even more since Snapdragon 865 supports up to 16GB RAM. The storage will be the same UFS 3.1 which Samsung is using in all flagship smartphones.
Camera Features and hardware
The camera is one of the main factors these days which makes a smartphone flagship and every other brand is trying to do something new in this segment. There were a lot of leaks about the camera of the Galaxy S20 showing that Samsung is also going to do something new and extraordinary in the camera segment. The camera module at the back of the smartphone is going to be redesigned in Galaxy S20. This time, it will look more like the camera module from the Galaxy S10 Lite which Samsung revealed recently. According to the leaks, the Ultra variant of the Galaxy S20 will feature a 108MP main sensor, a 48MP 10X optical zoom sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor.
When comes to the Galaxy S20, the live leaked images suggest the smartphone to feature a 12MP sensor paired with a 48MP sensor and two more. The smartphone will feature the same 10MP sensor at the front with 4K 60fps video recording support. The rear camera will support upto 8K video recording which will make it the first smartphone to do that properly(Red Magic 3).
The smartphone will be featuring some new features too which will be exclusive to the device itself. According to some leaks, there is a camera mode called “Space Zoom” which will be able to take some crazy zoom pictures. Other than these, there is nothing leaked about the smartphone in the camera section.
