The latest phone comes a few weeks after the launch of Vivo’s flagship Vivo V9 in India. The new smartphone Vivo Y71 sports classy bezel-less design with an 18:9 screen ratio and 84.4% screen to body ratio. Despite being a budget phone, the Vivo Y71 boasts of iPhone X like features especially the screen-to-body ratio and facial recognition.
Vivo Y71 Specifications
The dual-SIM Vivo Y71 comes with a 6-inch FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and as per Vivo it will offer 12.5 percent more content than the standard 16:9 aspect ratio display. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with company’s custom FunTouch OS on top.
The handset is powered by Snapdragon 425 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. It is equipped with 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD. The notable feature of the phone is its face unlock feature and apart from unlocking the phone, it is also capable of other aspects such as lowering the volume of message alerts, incoming calls, and alarms. In terms of camera, the Vivo Y71 sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. The rear camera also comes with a lighting optimization feature that helps in low light photography. The front camera is also equipped with an AI Beauty feature that can identify gender, age, skin tone to enhance selfies. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smartphone packs a 3,360mAh battery and comes with Vivo Smart Engine that improves battery performance by providing additional power management.
