Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with a Metal Unibody build with a rear-mounted Fingerprint sensor. The Mi Max 2 features a 6.44 inch Full HD (1080 x 1920p) IPS-LCD panel with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. In the camera department, it features a 12MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone Dual-LED flash, Phase detection, and Autofocus. The secondary unit is a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. In terms of hardware, the Mi Max 2 will pack a Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal storage. You can expand the internal storage up to 256GB with a microSD card. In terms of software, the Mi Max 2 will be running the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat skinned with MIUI 8. With Xiaomi speculated to release MIUI 9 in August, we can expect this device to be among the first to receive that upgrade. The battery is the highlight on Mi Max 2. The device packs a big 5,300 mAh Li-ion battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The battery is expected to power the device for up to 2 days in one single charge. Coming to connectivity, the Mi Max 2 is a 4G enabled phablet and sports Dual Sim slots (2 Sim cards or 1 Sim + microSD card). It features a USB Type C 1.0 port and an Infrared blaster.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to launch in India on July 18. The Chinese model is priced at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 16,100) for the 64GB and the 128GB storage variant at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 18,950). The exact prices will be determined after the official launch in India.
