Xiaomi had not launched its earlier device, the Mi Mix in India and this is the first flagship launched by the company in India after the Mi 5. The Mi Mix 2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and comes with 6GB RAM, 12MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is the successor of last year’s bezel-less flagship, the Mi Mix. The Mi Mix 2 comes with a four-sided curved ceramic body along with a 7-series aluminium alloy frame. It features an anti-slippery back with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is 11.9% smaller and 2.5% thinner than its predecessor. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Xiaomi’s custom skin MIUI 9 skinned on top. The device features a 5.99 inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It comes with a 80.8% screen-to-body ratio.
In terms of performance, the Mi Mix 2 is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clubbed with Adreno 540 GPU. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Coming to the camera department, the Mi Mix 2 features a 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis OIS, 1.25μm pixel size, 4K recording and dual-tone LED flash. On the front, the device comes with a 5MP secondary camera. Like its predecessor, the secondary camera of the Mi Mix 2 has been placed at the bottom.
It is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. The earpiece is replaced by Cantilever piezoelectric acoustic system.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has been priced at Rs. 35,999 and comes in Black color. Xiaomi has teamed up with Flipkart this time – the Mi Mix 2 will be available exclusively from Flipkart and Mi.com, starting from October 17th. Mi Home stores and other offline partners will stock the Mi Mix 2 in the first week of November.
