Xiaomi‘s new Mi Pay app will support all major credit cards and debit cards in India. It will let you transfer money to others via UPI. You can also pay for several utilities such as phone bill or recharge, water bill, and electricity bill etc. As per the company, all user data will be kept in an encrypted format in an India-based cloud system.
Mi Pay Features
The company says that Mi Pay app will be integrated within the Contacts, SMS, and App Vault in MIUI. You will be able to link your bank accounts to Mi Pay to facilitate transactions using the UPI and virtual payment address. You can transfer money to other UPI users and also request as well as get money from other UPI users. You can also pay for services that accept UPI payments using your bank account.
Moreover, you can reset your UPI PIN for your bank account anytime. Also, you will be able to manage your bank account including checking the balance. You can also use Mi Pay to pay using QR codes, including Bharat QR code. Also, there will be an option to generate personal QR codes for receiving payment from other UPI users. If you want to test the Mi Pay app early, you can signup for Mi Pay Beta testing here before December 31. But you must be using MIUI Beta ROM to sign up for this.
