Xolo Omega smartphones come with a metallic RIM, without any protruding hardware keys. Both handsets are powered by 1.4 GHz Octa Core MT6592 chipset with 1 GB RAM. This is the second Xolo phone to come with its home brewed Hive UI based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Omega will be available in 2 different variants. Omgea 5.5 will feature a 5 Inch display with 720p HD resolution. Omega 5.5 will feature a 13 MP rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, 2 MP front camera, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB Internal storage and a juicy 2600 mAh battery. On Omega 5.5, Vodafone is offering 1GB of free data and Unlimited music content on Vodafone Music, for 2 months.
The other variant is Omega 5.0 which will feature a 5 Inch HD display along with an 8 MP Sony Exmor R rear camera, 2 MP selfie snapper and a 2100 mAh battery. Vodafone is offering 500 MB of free data and Unlimited music content on Vodafone Music, for 2 months on Omega 5.0
Omega 5.0 has been priced at 8,999 INR and will be available starting December 10 in India. Omega 5.5 on the other hand has been priced at 9,999 INR and will be available starting 20th December, 2014. Xolo has also announced that all Hive users, including those who buy Omega Phones will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Both Omega smartphones will be available for purchase on brick and mortar stores.
