Camera and Internal Storage
The rear camera has an 8 MP sensor with wide f2.0 aperture and LED flash. You can record 1080p full HD videos from the rear camera. A front 1.3 MP basic shooter is also present on the front side for video calling. On paper this is the most you can expect at this price range. Internal storage is 8 GB and you can further expand this by another 32 GB using MicroSD card slot. This is again very standard in this price range, and should be good enough for basic and moderate users. If you prioritize more Internal storage, you can consider Huawei Honor Holly with 16 GB native storage.
Processor and Battery
CPU is tried and tested MT6582 quad core clocked at 1.3 GHz and assisted by Mali 400 MP4 CPU. This is the most popular quad core chipset for under 10,000 INR smartphones in India. It’s a decent performer for all day to day tasks and is also the CPU which Google trusts for its first set of Android One smartphones. Battery capacity is 2000 mAh and Xolo claims this will last for 640 hours of standby time, 4.8 hours of 3G web browsing and 22 hours of talk time on 2G. Charging time is 3.4 hours. These represent maximum backup stands and in day to day usage, we expect the performance to be average.
Display and Other Featrues
The display is 4.5 inches in size and features qHD 960 x 540 pixel resolution. This is good enough sharpness considering the display size. The 245 ppi, 2 point multi touch display uses IPS LCD technology. Xolo hasn’t mentioned any scratch resistant coating on top. Software is Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and unlike Xolo One, Xolo hasn’t promised upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Other features include 3G (HSDPA: 21 Mbps, HSUPA: 5.76 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and AGPS

Conclusion
Xolo Q710s on paper, offers slightly better hardware compared to Android One phones, but Google won’t be upgrading your software. It checks all right boxes with a sharp display, 8 MP rear camera and quad core chipset. The competition is quite tough and phones like Honor Holly and Zenfone 5 will mark a huge dent in its sales.
